Blink Devlog #3 - Friday August 16


Hello!

Welcome to day 3 of blink development, if you thought I made a lot of progress yesterday - you aren’t ready for today! Firstly, I previously added health and mana bars however I had no way to test them so I decided to start by simply implementing some health and mana orbs that increase your health and max mana respectively. Next, I added the MAIN ability - the blink! If you read the GDD or GCD you will know that it is a short-range teleport ability that is very essential to gameplay, plus it gave some much-needed functionality to the mana bar. Once I finished everything above, I felt the game felt kind of lifeless which led me to add some simple SFX and VFX to the blink and powerups.
