Description:
Blink is an intense 3rd person action game where players step into the shoes of a lone warrior equipped with the unique ability to "blink," a short-range teleportation skill that serves as both a tool for traversing the treacherous urban landscape and a powerful asset in combat. Set in a dystopian city overrun by malevolent androids, your mission is to reclaim the city by dismantling the android regime, one battle at a time.
The city itself is a blend of dark alleyways, towering skyscrapers, and hidden passages, each offering different challenges and opportunities to strategically use your blink ability. The warrior's sword is not just a weapon but a symbol of hope, cutting through the enemy forces as you advance. Along the way, you'll uncover forgotten secrets of the city, harness new powers, and face increasingly formidable foes as you restore the city to its former glory.

Gameplay:
Core gameplay mechanics include 3 power orbs that increase your health, max mana, or award the player an upgrade point respectively. There are 2 types of enemies in the game, a normal one that attacks you and can be attacked using the left and right mouse buttons, and a stealth enemy that cannot be damaged unless you sneak up behind them and perform a takedown (F) - to sneak up on them you must be mindful of footsteps, blinking, and jumping since they are alerted to those sounds. The Blink (E) can be used for repositioning and movement and the Heal ability (R) can be used to restore health for a large price. Press escape at any point to change graphics or volume.

Notes:
Blink was developed as part of the Circuit Stream UE Game Design course over an intensive 3-week period. It represents not only a culmination of learned skills but also a passion project that pushed the boundaries of what can be achieved within a short time frame using Unreal Engine 5.43. Whether you’re a fan of fast-paced action, intricate puzzles, or immersive world-building, Blink offers a thrilling experience that challenges both mind and reflexes.
