Blink Devlog #11 Saturday August 24


Hello!

I think somehow the stuff I got done today might even rival yesterday’s devlog, let’s jump in! First, at this point, I had a main menu however it looked like a 2-year-old made it so I created a scene in the level positioning the camera to make it interesting, and beefed up the UI however the design I made had three buttons, which was fine for the tutorial and main game but the third was nothing for a while until I found a tutorial for an options menu by Unreal University which helped me make a quick options menu. Next, the level was decent with the city walls laid out but the biggest issue was that the landscape was just a white grid so after a few landscape refresher videos I made a landscape material and painted the environment, but it was missing something - trees! so I also found a tutorial from Royal Skies that helped me do some foliage painting. That concludes day 11
